A coed, independent, Episcopal day school in Tampa, Florida, educating students in pre-k through twelfth grade

Berkeley Athletics

Berkeley Athletics offers a robust selection of sports for Middle and Upper Division students. With 17 different sports, over 80 teams are fielded annually, and we have an incomparable roster of coaches. Berkeley is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). The school takes pride in our student-athletes, who excel both in the classroom and in their athletic arena, as evidenced by winning the 2024 FHSAA Academic Team Champion Award for the 3A classification.

Berkeley’s state-of-the-art facilities, which sit on an 86-acre campus, rival and often surpass what you’ll find on most college campuses. These on-campus facilities include two turf fields, three gymnasiums, a pool, beach volleyball courts, tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and a golf complex.

Take a look at just a few accolades that Berkeley Athletics has received:

  • won more than 70 FHSAA Academic Team State Championships

Student-Athlete Leadership Program

During the fall, winter, and spring sports seasons, juniors and seniors on varsity teams are selected by their coaches to become student-athlete leaders and are automatically enrolled in this outstanding enrichment opportunity.

Each group of students attends a Saturday seminar, as well as several lunch meetings throughout the season to troubleshoot any challenges they may be facing and gain valuable insights from others who are in similar positions.

The program develops confident, resilient, and empathetic student-athlete leaders who can motivate teammates, foster a positive team culture, and inspire peak performance.
